Oh woe is the GOP. Rudderless without Reagan.
Nostalgia over The Gipper is understandable among those making over $250,000 a year and sitting on a ton of investments.
For the rest of America, not so smart.
Case in point. An MSN article reminds about what happened in 1986 (see myth #4) with the disappearance of the deductibility of sales taxes and consumer/student loan interest on the old 1040. Of course that made room for upper income tax breaks.
Fortunately many of us are waking up to the burdens we all have to carry under conservatism. Great time for William F. Buckley to take his leave because the roll-back is coming.
