It's because there are more important things

by folkbum

Michael "Elliot Stearns" Caughill, referencing this very blog, opines,
What cracks me up most about the Left's continuing and urgent desire to abandon Iraq is that if the Bush Administration actually brought all the troops home tomorrow, the Democrats' chances of winning the White House in 2008 would drop from virtually certain to just so-so.
Leaving aside the laughable fantasy that Bush would do such a thing, this isn't about him or about the White House. It's about not another American dying in Bush's war.

I would trade that for the White House in 2008, easy. In a heartbeat.
